Training
JAF Training specialises in the development of interpersonal skills and the reduction of staff vulnerability to workplace bullying, harassment, violence and intimidation.
Additionally, we offer bespoke training to assist in both developing and rolling out new policy or procedures, or in reaffirming existing ones, for instance where procedural shortcomings or cultural difficulties have been identified.
Clients consistently tell us that in addition to raising the levels of staff competence, our programmes enhance the working environment by empowering staff and encouraging greater cohesion. Other measurable outcomes include a more competent work force, improved productivity and reduced levels of casual absenteeism.
Training Style
Whilst our courses are generally PowerPoint based, we encourage a high level of delegate involvement and innovative interaction. For this reason and to ensure the active participation of all delegates, courses are generally restricted to a maximum of 12 people. Irrespective of the course content, we use humour both as a learning tool and to encourage the retention of knowledge.
Client Consultation
We will consult with our client to ensure that course content is accurately focused upon addressing identified issues within the workplace. Uniquely, the content of all of our programmes is written in such a way that it can be adjusted to reflect identified local needs and can readily incorporate client's policies and procedures. By using this facility, client's can take the opportunity to either introduce new policy or procedure, or to reinforce existing arrangements.
Complimentary Support Materials
All support materials and attendance certificates agreed with the clients are included.
Complimentary Assessment, Evaluation and Client Feedback
With each delivery, we work with the client to provide a comprehensive 'Three-tier' assessment and evaluation process. To establish a baseline of knowledge, perceptions and expectations, an initial assessment is carried out with potential delegates prior to commencing the course. At the closure of the course delegates complete a questionnaire, which allows us to gauge their response to the course and to identify any prevailing or additional issues that they may have.
Three months later, the third delegate evaluation is carried out which enables us to measure the impact of the training by monitoring change. All of this information is then analysed, before being fed back to the client in a summary format, allowing us to work with the client to identify and resolve emerging issues.
Ongoing Staff Development and Support
To encourage the personal development of skills in the workplace, all delegates attending our courses receive unlimited confidential telephone and email support from their trainer for a period of 12 months following completion of the course.

Course Costs
ALL of our courses are specifically client orientated and as they are delivered in-house at a time and place chosen by the client, we are able to keep our overheads to a minimum. Consequently, our training is not only cost effective, but is considered by our clients to offer unique value for money.
For example, ALL of our one-day skills based Standard Courses, which accommodate up to 12 delegates, are charged at £650+VAT per course. This equates to less than £55.00+VAT per delegate, with the cost of multiple courses being discounted on the basis of the total number required over a rolling 12 month period.
Our courses are inclusive of initial consultation; an in-house needs assessment (Where necessary); support material; a comprehensive three-tier evaluation process and a confidential delegate support service.
The only additional charges that need to be considered are our travel costs and where appropriate the cost of our trainers' overnight accommodation.
Does Cost Equate to Quality?
In this case, the simple answer is No. We are confident that our training is comparable to the very best currently available. How do we know that? Well, aside from critically evaluating every session that we deliver, we pride ourselves both upon client retention and the high level of referrals we receive.
